Stronger Organizations. Stronger Connections. A Stronger Community.
Our Impact
Give Back Prince William exists to improve the quality of life throughout Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park. Rather than focusing on one direct service, we strengthen the people and organizations already working throughout our community by increasing visibility, sharing knowledge, building connections, recognizing leadership and helping good work reach more people.
Our impact extends beyond a single program. We strengthen the community by helping the people and organizations serving it become more visible, connected and effective.

Strengthening Nonprofits
Helping Good Organizations Become Stronger
Local nonprofits often do extraordinary work with small staffs, limited budgets and little time for marketing, communications or community outreach.
Give Back Prince William helps increase nonprofit capacity and visibility through education, storytelling, communications support, partnerships, volunteer promotion and professional resources.
Our support includes:
- Marketing and communications education
- Nonprofit storytelling and visibility
- Press release and media relations training
- Google Ad Grants education
- Digital marketing and SEO guidance
- AI education for nonprofits
- Volunteer recruitment strategies
- Business and nonprofit connections
- Branding and marketing support
- Community workshops and consultations
Our goal is not to replace the work of local nonprofits. We help strengthen their ability to reach people, attract support and serve the community more effectively.
Recognizing Leadership
Celebrating People Who Make a Difference
Community impact begins with people. Give Back Prince William recognizes individuals whose leadership, service, talent and commitment strengthen Greater Prince William.
Recognition initiatives have included:
- Influential Women
- Giving Back Awards
- Extraordinary Teens
- Community Champions
- Healthcare Professionals to Know
- Patrick King Art Student Scholarship
Recognition does more than honor an individual. Sharing these stories introduces community leaders to new audiences, encourages others to participate and preserves the stories of people helping shape our community.
Education & Opportunity
Supporting Learning, Careers and the Next Generation
Education and workforce development are essential to a strong community. Our work supports students, educators, career exploration, internships, mentorship, scholarships, workforce development and connections between employers and the next generation.
The Patrick King Art Student Scholarship continues Patrick King's legacy by supporting young artists pursuing their education.
Community Health
Turning Information Into Action
Access to useful, trustworthy information can influence the decisions people make about their health.
Give Back Prince William has supported health awareness initiatives, community health partnerships and recognition of healthcare professionals serving our region.
Through information shared through Prince William Living and Give Back Prince William initiatives, 374 women reported receiving their first mammogram, with five reporting early cancer detections.
Those numbers represent more than communications reach. They represent people using information to take action.
Local Economy
Supporting Businesses That Strengthen the Community
Healthy communities need healthy local businesses. Give Back Prince William supports economic development by increasing awareness of businesses, recognizing employers, encouraging community participation and creating connections among businesses, nonprofits and residents.
Programs and initiatives have included Readers' Choice, Open for Business, Best Places to Work and other opportunities that recognize businesses contributing to quality of life throughout Greater Prince William.
Arts, Culture & Heritage
Helping Our Community Tell Its Story
Arts, culture and local history help communities understand who they are. We support artists, performances, cultural organizations, historic preservation stories and young people pursuing the arts.
The Patrick King Art Student Scholarship honors the legacy of Imagine Design & Marketing founder Patrick King while investing in the next generation of creative talent.
Community Information
Information Creates Impact
People cannot participate in opportunities they do not know exist. They cannot volunteer for organizations they have never heard about, attend events they never discover or support programs, businesses and scholarships they do not know are available.
That is why access to community information is part of our mission.
Prince William Living serves as a primary delivery platform for this work, connecting residents with local stories, organizations, businesses, events, resources and opportunities throughout Greater Prince William.
